Michael Writer has more than 30 years’ experience in Human Resources Management, Organisational Talent and Learning and Development. This experience is as a leader-manager; a practitioner; a consultant; a coach; as well as lecturer, teacher and facilitator.
A major focus of Michael’s working background is in executive leadership development, executive coaching/mentoring and leadership communication and management. Michael has facilitated conferences and been a guest speaker on various panels as part of corporate conference events. Michael also has vast experience utilising and interpreting many leading diagnostics, surveys and simulation tools.
Michael has designed, developed and delivered programs focussing on the areas of Leadership Assessment, Leadership Development, Executive Coaching and Development, Global Leadership, Effective Teams, Change Management and Leadership Communication. Michael’s lecturing and training assignments include work in Australia, Asia, Europe and the United States.
Michael is also a guest lecturer with a range of specialist executive education programs for INSEAD, the global business school, such as the “Management Development Program” and “Transition to General Management Program”. Michael also teaches Leadership Communication for INSEAD on a number of their customised client programs.
Michael’s former professional experience includes executive and senior management roles at Westpac, Aussie Home Loans, AMP, Mortgage Choice and Lend Lease.
Michael has a highly creative working style, a confident and questioning approach, and an innate ability to think on his feet. Michael has great drive, tenacity and communication skills, and is a master at challenging the everyday to seek out new opportunities and ‘untangle the knots’.
